Beezy (aka BZ), a young rap artist from the southeast, has already been slated by many as the next teenage rap sensation. His current single "My J's" (aptly named after the popular shoes branded after Michael Jordan) is spreading through the southeast like wildfire, and will premiere on MusicDishTV on Wednesday, November 4, 2009. The popularity of the shoes coupled with the song and the raw, but somewhat comical video has started to create quite a buzz for the young 17-year-old artist.

5th-Nov-2009 03:48 pm - Help
I am looking for songs about Autumn/October/Fall?

Any genre would do but I am looking for stuff like the following:

In This Moment - This October
This Weary Hour - In Autumn Twilight
Eternal Tears of Sorrow - Autumn's Grief
Cradle of Filth - Thirteen Autumns and a Widow
Opeth - Forest of October
Opeth - Dirge for November
Opeth - Harvest
4th-Nov-2009 05:32 am - A Cover and a Request

Does anyone have Danielle Duval's You're the One That I Want? It's a great rock/indie cover of the Grease track. You can hear it on myspace here. I would just rip it but my sound card is having some problems.

In return here is Damhnait Doyle doing I Want You To Want Me, it's a lovely version, very subdued and melodic.

I heard both on recent episodes of Californication incase any fans of that are interested.

Thanks!

Award winning indie artist Debbie Hennessey has released her first holiday recording, a classic pop version of Winter Wonderland, full of lush strings and happy jingle bells. "I believe that we are strongly influenced by the style of songs we grew up with as well as the songs themselves. I think this is especially true when it comes to holiday songs. For me, it was Christmas songs by singers like Johnny Mathis, Andy Williams, Elvis, The Carpenters, Burl Ives, etc. I wanted to honor that time with my version of this holiday song," says Hennessey.

Hey there. I'm hoping to create a (rather depressing) mixtape of (mostly) sad songs, mainly based around the theme (cliche as it may be) of unrequited love. In particular, songs from the perspective of a shy, wallflower girl who has loved her best friend or someone she has been reasonably close to for most of her life... but he, of course, only sees her in a purely platonic/little sister light.

Any suggestions?

So far, i've got:
Gravity - Vienna Teng
I'm There Too - Michelle Featherstone
Realize - Colbie Coillat
A Million Pieces - Emily Rossum
Falling - Alice in Videoland
Worn Me Down - Rachel Yamagata

And a little more upbeat:
The Listening - Lights
Quiet - Lights
All I Need - Caroline
